Will you be buying Rachel Ashwell’s new book? It will be available in March of 2015, but you can pre order an autographed copy, from her website, here .
No doubt she has had a huge influence on the whole painted furniture trend especially Chalk Paint. So when I saw this the other day on Pinterest, I thought I would share it as inspiration.
No longer available from her website, if you want something like this you will have to paint it yourself. Here’s how I would do it using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®.
You could mix a color that comes close to matching by using Antoinette, Henrietta, and Old White. But I would use a layering of the different colors for a more vintage look. To finish use clear and dark wax, and distress on edges and high points to simulate aging and wear.
If pink is your color you will love my posts, Pretty in Pink, A French Pink, and In the Pink.

I absolutely love old pink painted furniture. The natural wear is amazing. There is a huge difference in the wear of an old piece versus chalk paint. Although new paint looks good there is nothing like all the stories that goes with every little scratch or fading from the sun.
