Chippendale Commode

Chippendale Commode copy

A Chippendale commode is painted in pale greys, warm browns, and touches of green. Chalk Paint from Annie Sloan can be used to achieve a similar antique patina. Paris Grey provides the foundation color with accents of Duck Egg Blue. Use Coco and Old White  for shadows and areas where the paint appears to have worn away. Lightly distress for additional age and wear .

Commodes are very on trend. For more commode inspiration see these posts you may have missed. If you love anything Rococo, you will want to see these posts you may have missed. Rococo Commode,  Past Perfect, and  Scandinavian Pink

Fiona, you are the best with white! I’m always looking at your pieces and thinking I should do more of it. Can’t wait to see it,

Fiona, I have really enjoyed your website. Thanks so much for sharing. Have you ever thought of running a few classes in Perth? Thanks, Rebecca

Hi, I just took an Annie Sloan class last night. After much deliberation I’ve decided I want to do my nightstands like this. Did you use dark, mixed or clear wax? and What techniques did you use?Wash? Chippy?
