I have a really small foyer with only two spots to put furniture. Because there is no coat closet, one of the spaces is used for this armoire. That leaves the wall you see above for the only other piece of furniture I can squeeze in. I found this walnut dressing table several years ago and painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in a neutral color combination I love and have used often.
I start with a solid first coat of Paris Grey, followed by light(not solid) layers, of Coco for shadows and Old White for highlights. Its so easy. And I like that it goes with everything, no matter how I change up the accent colors in a room. Although the mirror looks similar in this photo, I used a different Chalk Paint color combination that you can read about here.
I love to move my furniture to different spots in my house to fulfill different needs and also to keep things fresh. Sometimes I will repaint it, but many times adding different accessories is all it takes to rejuvenate something. You can see other pieces that have moved in and out of my foyer in these posts, Today It’s a Console, Upholstered Bench, and Pop of Red
