Will you share? Reply Leslie Stocker February 6th, 2014 lorajanethanks for asking. When I’m using Chalk Paint, I paint light layers of different colors, sometimes diluting one with water to make a wash. I almost never paint just one solid color. Another technique I use is dry brushing the lightest color on the edges, highpoints, and areas of normal wear like handles, knobs, pulls. If a piece looks too splotchy, or Im not happy with a part of it, I tend to just keep adding a little paint, rather than using sandpaper to remove it. Before Chalk Paint I had a really hard time getting this look with latex or acrylics and although I would thin down oil paints they took too long to dry. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any questions you have. Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
