Pure & Original Paint sent me 3 of their Classico chalk paint colors to try, one of which is Storm. I would describe Storm as a warm muted brown that has deep red purple undertone. If I had to compare it to a color in the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint palette, I would say it’s a mix of Coco and French Linen, in a deeper shade. One of those neutrals that I love and use often in my projects.
I’d love to show you some other examples of Pure & Original, Storm, but I had difficulty finding images where Storm was identified. I did find these photos on their website that give you an idea of the depth of their luscious color palette.
I was also excited to see today, the post of my good friend, talented artist, and fellow blogger, Diane Llewellyn Grover, about her first project using Pure & Original Classico chalk based paint.
Diane is an amazing artist who takes painting furniture to a whole different level using her brilliant technique of image transfer. You can see her stunning original works of art on her blog, The Paint Factory PDX, at her Etsy Store, as well as on Facebook.
I’ll be coming out with the next set of video tutorials later this week on YouTube and also here on the blog. If you want to learn more about my layering style, be sure to check out these videos: Layering Technique Steps 2 and 3, and How to Dry Brush.
