On the Bias

This may look familiar because I did another version of  Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Watercolors last month. By now, you have to know that I rarely do an idea just one way. I like to try out several options before I come up with the final finish. If you would like to see my first interpretation of watercolors on a chest of drawers you can find it here.  For this one, I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in mixes (diluted with water) of all the colors shown above. I painted a series of diagonal, random size stripes top left to bottom right.  Once these were dry (very important,) I painted  another series of stripes, top right to bottom left. I did use masking tape in between most of the lines for a clear edge, but I ended up going back and adding additional stripes so some of them run into each other. I’m curious to know which of these variations on a theme you like the best.

Thank you for all your great support and feedback. I have some exciting and new projects in the works for September as well as a giveaway later in the month. I look forward to hearing from you in the comments or by email and will get back to you as soon as I can.

Cheers,

Leslie

I love the plaid one! This is because I am not a fan of any diagonal (inner ear issues causes dizziness) Love plains! Now as to your clean lines and good composition of Color, LOVE both!
