Do You Decant Your Paint?

In this video I explain why I do. There are several techniques for maximizing the life of your paint but this is the one I use. I’ll also show you some others. It’s important to get the most out of your paint because it’s expensive.

Thanks so much for the great info! I have always put nail holes in the paint can rims but after a few projects even those get plugged up. Thanks for showing me a better way to keep my precious paint.

Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, Leslie. I find them informative and enjoyable to watch. They also inspire! I especially look forward to your new one on layering paint on projects. Think I saw you were making that. Happy Holidays to you!

Where can I get the paint-eze containers? I live in a small town can I order them?

I would also like to know where to get these. Are they like the FIFO containers? I know you said they are just for paint so would like to purchase these.
Thanks!

Hi Leslie – great containers. I only just decantered all my pots of paint – ASCP for the reasons you mentioned and the Fusion range because no matter how much time I spent cleaning the rim after use it was impossible to unscrew the plastic pots between use. Nightmare! So I went out and brought Parfait glass jars (like for jam/conserves) and now I can either paint directly from the jars as well!

did you stir the paint thoroughly before decanting Lesley, & does it separate in the bottles as it does in the tins? Thanks :)

I love this video. However, am I the only person who gets frustrated when no one tells you where you can buy these?
