Country Sideboard

Country Sideboard

This charming country sideboard, found on mademoisellewinck.blogspot.no,  serves as inspiration for warm white color palette. Using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® on a vintage table and cabinet will give you a similar style.  Old White and Old Ochre will supply the overall white foundation layer. Add Coco for shadows and touches of Antoinette for highlights. A perfect backdrop to display a vintage collection of china.

If soft whites are your favorites, a similar palette is used for this French Secretary and also on this Country Pine Server.

I like Annie Sloan Chalk Paint  for my craft and furniture projects, but for walls nothing compares to Pure & Original Fresco Lime Paint. I love the natural variations of shades and tones the lime creates within one paint color. You have to see how gorgeous it is! Checkout my most recent interior design make overs with Fresco. It can be purchased online at www.502paint.com

P.S  Pure and Original also makes a chalk based paint called Classico in 140 colors! Its amazing too!

Leslie; I love this piece, I have been into layering lately with wax between colors and rubbing the paint back. Is that how you get this effect or something else.

Thanks in advance for your help

Can somebody tell me how exactly you get this result? Which color-layer first? Dark wax or not? Thanks for the extra help!
