Country Console

Arles Country Console

This charming console was featured in Country Living in a story about a Texas home renovation. The beautiful plaster walls were the focus of the photo, but I thought the console deserved attention too. The combination an organic yellow and rich black can be stunning and is easy to replicate with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Use Arles on the base and Graphite on the top. Clear and Dark Wax will enhance the finish and darken the Graphite to almost black. Layering of colors is not necessary for this outstanding look.

For more ideas to add a spark to your entryway console see my posts, In the Mood, Today It’s a Console, and French Sideboard.  And if Arles and Graphite are favorite colors, just click on the swatches in the Color Palette.

I like Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint for my craft and furniture projects, but for walls nothing compares to Pure & Original Fresco Lime Paint. (notice the wall behind the console) I love the natural variations of shades and tones the lime creates within one paint color. You have to see how gorgeous it is! Checkout my most recent interior design make overs with Fresco. It can be purchased online at www.502paint.com

P.S  Pure and Original also makes a chalk based paint called Classico in 140 colors! Its amazing too!
