Country Blue Wardrobe

Country Blue Wardrobe

If you are looking for extra storage options, consider repurposing a vintage wardrobe. It can be as simple as adding shelves to make it suitable for linens or tableware. This pretty blue cupboard (source) would be charming storage in an antique or modern setting. If you would like to paint your cabinet, wardrobe, or cupboard in an authentic painted finish Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® makes it easy. Use Primer Red as the base coat, and layer Aubusson Blue and Louis Blue over it. Distressing is optional.

I think this is one of my favorites. I love these colors together. I can see all of the colors in this piece, but to get the layers to look like this is the problem. I would want them to look so natural together like this, and not like I just threw paint on with a brush. It’s that technique that I would love to learn from Leslie. She is a fabulous painter.
