A country pine server or sideboard painted in the weathered wood style with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®. Wash layer of Paris Grey over a base coat of Old White.  Coco accents and Pure White highlights.

When you do a wash is it 50/50 paint to water? And do you wipe it off with cheese cloth?

Paula,
Probably a little less water more like 2 parts paint to 1 part water. I use old rags rather than cheesecloth.,

I think your work is fabulous!! I found your blog over 2 weeks ago and you inspired me. I have now done 2 pieces. One is a french country buffet that I dry brushed – but I could not figure out when dry brushing how to avoid the brush marks???? I have looked thru your blog to find the answer – but wasn’t successful. Help please – and thank you!!
